Retaliation – Labor Code Section 1102.5

           Amended Definition of Protected Activity –
           Employee Can Disclose Information to:

              • Government or law enforcement agency
              • A person with authority over the employee
              • A person who has authority to investigate, discover, or

                correct the violation

           Prohibited Retaliation

              • Cannot retaliate for disclosing information or because
                the employer believes the employee disclosed or may
                disclose information.
