NAGDCA’s PUBLIC RETIREMENT RESEARCH LAB
RECOMMENDATION
Approve staff sharing the County’s plan information with the National Association of
Government Defined Contribution Administrators’ Public Retirement Research Lab so that the
County can participate in the PRRL database and better compare its own features and services
to those of peer plans.
DISCUSSION
By sharing plan information with NAGDCA’s PRRL , the County will be able to access
comparative data from other participating plans. The County will be able to customize peer
group comparisons and will receive research reports as they become available.
Participation in PRRL is free. With the DCAC’s approval, staff will authorize Empower to
annually transmit certain participant- and plan-level information to PRRL. All data will be
secure and confidential. No personally-identifiable information (e.g., SSNs, birthdates,
employee IDs, etc.) will be transmitted. Also, no one plan, including the County, is able to see
data from any other single plan, including the County.
