Pension Predators’ Targeted in ERISA

Litigation Reform Bill

• Representative Randy Fine (R-Fla.) on November 18, 2025, introduced the

ERISA Litigation Reform Act (H.R. 6084), legislation that would strengthen the

pleading standards for lawsuits brought under the Employee Retirement

Income Security Act (ERISA).

• If enacted, H.R. 6084 would clarify the burden of proof in certain fiduciary-

related claims and establish a targeted stay of discovery during the initial

stages of litigation.
