with your support, we distributed the survey to eligible, non-participating employees and participants
alike, requesting feedback on the Deferred Compensation Plan. 764 employees completed the survey.
40 respondents never registered
603 active participants with a balance, contributing to the plan
55 active participants with a balance, not contributing
66 terminated participants with an account balance
Overall, we do continue to see a decline in respondents.
2026: 764 respondents
2023: 695 respondents
2022: 900 respondents
2021: 1,317 respondents
Key Survey Results
Demographics
• 58.22% of respondents are between the ages of 40 and 60, representing the largest segment.
• 62% of respondents were female. This is consistent with the last survey delivered in 2023.
Key insights
1 in 5 respondents are either not contributing right now or never joined.
Top reason people don’t enroll in the plan: They don’t understand how the plan works. 24%
indicated they can’t afford to participate.
Top reason people stop contributing: Money is tight. The next big reason is they’re unsure
what to invest in.
