Additionally, the JFY team makes it a safe space for interns to make mistakes and

encourages us, as young adults, to reflect on what we need to best show up to achieve

our own success. I’ve gained external perspectives that have allowed me to develop

my soft and technical skills and work on things about myself that used to intimidate

me. Working for the JFY team in the HR department, I was able to work first-hand on

the behind-the-scenes work that goes into the program, making me appreciate it

more, and with other remarkable JFY interns who are at similar stages of life as I am.

This experience has ignited a deeper ambition in me to keep pushing forward—not

only for myself but for everyone who’s believed in me. I will walk away from this

internship with stronger skills and a stronger sense of self, and if I had any advice for

future interns, I would encourage them to throw themselves all in; ask questions, make

mistakes, look within yourself, and push your comfort zone. I promise you will leave the

internship as a better person than when you began, and that’s just the beauty of JFY!
