SAN MATEO COUNTY

     The County of San Mateo is located in the heart of the

     San Francisco Peninsula, offering a wide range of
     recreational pursuits, economic opportunities and

     numerous attractions. The 765,000 residents of the
     County enjoy a diverse, multi-cultural citizenry,

     cosmopolitan ambiance, temperate climate, clean air,
     rural open space, and a geographic location in the

     heart of the San Francisco Peninsula.



     The County of San Mateo is governed by a five-
     member County Board of Supervisors that are elected

     by district to alternating four-year terms. The County
     provides for the health and welfare of all people within
     its borders and serves as the local government for the

     unincorporated areas. The County has a budget of
     $3.8 billion in FY 2021-22 with over 5,600 full-time

        Provide exemplary litigation advocacy; defend decisions and advocate the policies of clients to achieve the best

        results – the lowest cost or loss without sacrifice of policy or principles.
