SUBJECT: Recommended Topics for DCAC’s October 27, 2021 Retreat
RECOMMENDATION
Review, discuss and finalize topics for the DCAC’s October 27, 2021, so that staff and
consultants can prepare presentations accordingly.
BACKGROUND
A retreat has already been scheduled for the DCAC on October 27, 2021, 9:00am-
12:00pm. In preparation, NFP and staff met to develop a laundry list of potential topics
and to develop a recommended list of topics for October 27. Below is the recommended
list as well as additional topics in case the DCAC wishes to choose alternatives.
DISCUSSION
Applying the generic intention that retreats should be different from regular DCAC
business meetings in that they might include long-term planning, rejuvenation,
reinforcing a mission and/or building relationships, following is a recommended list of
topics for October 27 that could be further developed and delivered by Empower, NFP
and/or staff.
• Financial Wellness—What are the multitude of aspects of financial wellness?
What resources for financial wellness are already available to County employees?
What gaps are priority areas for the
DCAC?
