County of San Mateo Deferred Compensation Program Participant Survey 2023
retirement plans.
140 I would like to have a group onsite meeting so can all have questions answers 11/21/2023 4:01 PM
141 I know this is not in our control, but changing reps so often is difficult as I have needed to 11/21/2023 3:58 PM
restate my goals, situation, questions etc to each new rep.
142 It would be helpful to be able to roll the county's Plan 4 income at retirement calculations into 11/21/2023 3:58 PM
empower retirement's estimator. The website has seemed buggy lately. It gets stuck in a
feedback loop, sayng, "An error has occurred. Please contact a Participant Services
Representative if the problem persists." The problem persists.
143 In all honesty, I find the world of retirement planning rather overwhelming and intimidating and 11/21/2023 3:58 PM
would appreciate guidance that could make it less so! I know I'm rather far from retirement, but
I don't want to put off planning. It would great to start from the basics and gain a thorough
understanding of my deferred comp, working my way to the more complex decisions (i.e.,
investment options).
144 This doesn't apply to all users, but would be helpful to get more support for calculating how 11/21/2023 3:56 PM
rollovers from cashed out comp time impact the deferred compensation contributions. It is
super confusing!

152 I am very happy with the external brokerage (Schwab) option for investing. I would be 11/21/2023 3:46 PM
interested in being allowed to keep less than 50% in the empower account.

154 I wish I had a clear understanding of how this works or knew who I could contact to have the 11/21/2023 3:45 PM
issue resolved, particularly with why it is asking me to enroll in an account online when I am
already enrolled in one.
